Spaniels are white with black facial features and accents on feet.

Regal creatures command attention on the mantel, tabletop or wherever you place them.

Small release holes on back.

Light brush strokes are visible around muzzle and on feet.

Unmarked.

The Spaniels lack of painted decoration suggest a late nineteenth century production date.

Circa 1880-1890.

An Asheville, NC estate find.

Approximate measurements:

10" high.

6.5" wide.

4.25" deep.

The left facing Spaniel is slightly taller at about 10" high. The right facing is a bit shorter at about 9.75" high.

Excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks.

Some paint loss on the muzzle.

Both pieces have fine crazing.

Mold line can be seen in middle of piece.

Antique means old, and rarely means perfect!

Items are a minimum of 100 years of age, and may show signs of wear from their previous life.

I try to notate any obvious “flaws”.
